The ‘INSPIR-O!’ National Mentorship Program for Active Women implemented in 7 localities with zero representation of women in local councils has been launched successfully! The first official interaction between the mentors and the mentees took place in Chisinau on 8 April.

On International Roma Day, 10th of April, at a dedicated event organized by the Bureau of Interethnic Relations together with the Roma Women Platform, UN Women Moldova launched a brochure with 10 stories of successful Roma women from Moldova who overcame barriers and achieved remarkable results.

UN Women’s experience in eliminating violence against women in Moldova was included as a case study at the renowned University of Oxford, United Kingdom. 37 participants from the Consulting and Coaching for Change (CCC) Executive Masters program learned about the situation in Moldova, engaged in a role play to better understand the subject, and came up with their own ideas on how to tackle domestic violence in Moldova.
