    A modern wastewater system and a cleaner environment for Copceac residents, thanks to European investments

    Starting from today, the residents of Copceac village, Ceadir-Lunga district, have access to a modern wastewater treatment plant and a new sewerage system thanks to the joint effort of several development partners: Federal Republic of Germany, through the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Rotary Clubs from Germany and Belgium, the European Union and the SlovakAID Programme through the Embassy of the Slovak Republic.

    Putting laws into action, police officers respond to violence against women in Moldova

    With funding from the Swedish Government, UN Women has been working with police officers across Moldova for the past two years, to build their knowledge and improve their capacity to respond to domestic violence cases effectively. The programme, titled “Promoting and multiplying good innovative practices in preventing and combating violence against women”, also encourages police officers to share good practices with their peers and other service providers through trainings and interactive platforms.

    EU improves health services in Varnita for the benefit of people of both banks of Nistru river

    The Health Care Center from Varnita village has become more spacious as a new annex with physiotherapy wards, diagnosis rooms and family doctors’ offices was built. Now, more than 13,000 people – locals and also from Tiraspol, Bender or Slobozia will receive consultations and day care without staying in queues for hours.
