The UN agencies in Moldova work in close partnership with national and international partners.
On the national level, the United Nations works in partnership with State institutions including several Ministries, the State Chancellery, the Presidency and many others related to our areas of intervention.
Local authorities play an important role in several of our projects.
Our partnerships with companies and the private sector are mainly channeled through the Global Compact initiative.
International Development Partners
The UN Resident Coordinator chairs monthly development partners’ meetings.
The development partners of Moldova are committed to implement the Moldova Development Partnership Principles, and include the European Union in Moldova, the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and a number of bilateral partners such as Austria, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the United States.
The United Nations also work in close partnership with the Open Society Foundation.
