How we work
The UN Country Team is committed to the principles agreed in the Paris Declaration, the Accra Agenda for Action, and the Busan Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation. These principles include: strengthening national ownership and leadership, better aligning with national priorities, use of national systems when possible, and harmonization among UN Agencies.
The UN agencies in Moldova work in close partnership with national and international partners. At the national level, the UN is committed to implement the Moldova Development Partnership Principles, setting out development assistance coordination mechanisms and signed by the community of development partners. The development partners’ monthly meetings are co-chaired by the UN Resident Coordinator and the State Chancellery.
